| For those that havnt heard,Morroco landed 6 conscripts on "parsley island" a 120ft long lump of Rock,uninhabited & owned by Spain,200 yards from the morroco shore and 12 miles from the Spanish Shore.they raised the morroccan flag.Spain demanded withdrawal and the Morrocans claimed sovrignty of the Hunk of granite that you could hit with a longbow from the shore!Finally yesterday Spanish spec forces Rappelled in from Iroquois clattering above the tiny island then surrounded it with Frigates.The Morrocan "garrison"surrendered without a shot.
But is this the end,will we see a Morrocan task force sail?A new "goose green"?will the morrocan flag be raised Iwo Jima-like on Parsley?will Spain ask for NATO intervention?What tactical problems might the terrain cause for Armoured divisions?will seapower be decisive,or will the Morrocans just wait for the tide to go out?
And FINALLY!
If Spain can get so heated about a footballfield sized uninhabited rock that is yards from the Morrocan coast saying theyve owned it since 1680,What does that say for Gibraltar?Owned By us Brits for hundreds of years,populated with a naval base?Theyve just sunk their cause somewhat!!!!!!!
