Subject: Fate of the lost SEAL Team in Kunar

http://www.sftt.org/main.cfm?actionId=globalShowStaticContent&screenKey=cmpDefense&htmlCategoryID=30&htmlId=3504 A letter written by a Marine who served in missions involving the Navy SEALs. Here is a fuller account of the loss of the four man team in Kunar Province, together with the loss of the QRF Chinook sent to reinforce the doomed naval commandoes. Be humbled by their tragic tale. I know I am.

Hell of a story, and well put by the writer. I'm humbled as well. The central point was the need of every soldier, sailor, airman, or marine to know that help is coming if things go to crap. So keep fighting, and hang in there. Like he said, the decisions were sound, the men well-trained, but their time had come. That's why it's war-the other side plays to win every day, and the media types don't really get it.
