Subject: Tim Horton's in Khandahar
Griffin    2/24/2006 7:47:07 PM
Today the CDS, while speaking at the Conference of Defence Associations conference, challenged the CEO of Tim Horton's to come to Khandahar with him and arrange for them to open up a shop for the 2,000 or so Cdn. serving out of their new base. That got a good share of laughs, but the man was serious. If nothing else, he is a refreshing change in that he really cares about the grunt on the ground. Having previously been the ISAD Brigade Commander in Kabul, and being a person who presents a no-nonsense rapid fire approach, I tend to take him at his word.
