When I first heard of the potential for FF, I wondered if it was one of our guys that fired the fatal round, one of the yanks, or one of the less disciplined Afghans. Also as to the latter, one has to wonder about traitors in the Afghan ranks - they have made it a sport to change sides. One should also remember what the communists did in infiltrating SVN forces during the VN war, especially the Ruff Puffs, who then turned on their Green Beret advisors when a camp came under attack. I hope the Cdn. and US investigators look to forensics if the bullet(s) that killed the Cdn. and US soldier are not our issue, and then do some ballistic testing of every firearm the Afghan troops have. We have to find out if it was ill disciplined fire, or something more dangerous.

we have enough problems with being in 'stan without another ff incident. they should be able to id the calibre of weapon that killed him in fairly short order. if it was ff there likely isn't enough left of the slug for ballistics to nail down what tube it came from.
