Subject: Jack Layton and the NDP Follies
Griffin    9/12/2006 10:37:24 PM
Well by now most of us have heard of the gutless stance of Jack Layton and the NDP in asking that our troops be removed from Afghanistan or to change the role - read become candy stripers and boyscouts. Sorry Jack reality doesn't work that way. A nice interpretation of Jack's and the socialist gooney birds thinking is seen in a Globe and Mail cartoon. I had a good laugh so I thought others would like it to: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/v5/images/newspaper/20060912/cartoon-600.png

Yeah I thought it was a dumb move on his part but the only reason is because he knows he will get the support from Quebec on this. In the past Quebec has always had a low approval rating when it comes to war, and what a perfect chance for Jack to capitalize on some votes.I'm soory but I am behind Harper all the way, I say lets spend and spend on more equipment more training and some day we will prevail, we always have in the past and its always been because of hard work and determination so to call it quits like Jack is suggesting is not the true Canadian way. Sure war is tough and don't kid yourself  WE ARE AT WAR, but Jack said we are not a  waring country but in the past when we were at war it was because the world was in rough shape and everyone in the free world had to pitch in one way or another to overcome all the odds. This won't be easy but just stop and think what it would be like if we backed out! I mean holy crap what would the world think of us then? What would the families of the fallen soldiers think of Jack? I say lets go all out , go in debt, whatever it takes but lets wipe these psychos off the map and help make the world a safer place if not for us at least for our kids.

No it's not the dumb move. Jack knows it won't pass through and he is actually quite smart.

It's the way to win the vote. He knows that war is going to drag very long and end result is quite unkonwn, so everything will work his way.

He will be the most wise man and he is investing on that.

My prediction is that if Harper is not smart and flexible enough, he will be screwed in 3-4 years.

With no leadership in Liberal, Jack will be the real star. This guy is eloquent and really can stir up things.
