Subject: Missile over Newfoundland (with a French connection)?

This news is a few days old, but worth noting http://ottawa.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20100128/NL_sky_100128/20100128?hub=OttawaHome (from above article) Liberal Sen. George Baker said that the direction of the objects suggests a launch from nearby St-Pierre-Miquelon, which is French territory. If true, Baker said such a launch could contravene international sovereignty rules. He added that Ottawa should be treating the situation seriously. “Knowing that France has territory within our 200 mile (320 kilometre) zone in Canada, they should at least ask the French, ‘Look, are you launching these missiles?’ Because if they are, (and) everybody is denying knowledge of it, then the laws have been broken.” (end exerpt) Below, from yesterday, the governments (of Canada and France) now deny that a missile launch took place. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/757495--french-missiles-or-just-toy-rockets-mystery-deepens-in-newfoundland
