Subject: Walkie talkies

bit of trivia. seems the first walkie talkie was developed by a canadian just in time for ww2. great clumsy thing but self contained and fairly handy. there was of course an american who claims to have invented it but his required a motorcycle engine as a power source. needless to say he didn't make a dime off it and had to sue king george after the war to get a reward that barely covered the expense of the suit. tanj.

the expression walkie talkie was coined by a toronto newspaper reporter interviewing him about it. apparently he never got anything out of it either hehe.
