The truly sad aspect to observe is the electorate here in Chicagoland, particularly the older demographic electorate, accepts that crooks run the show and will return them to office time and time again, even acquit them if tried by the de facto government, which are federal prosecutors.  I have worked with Michael Shakman (of the Shakman Decree) and while glimmers of hope represent in men like that for the most part our Illinois elders believe politics is innately corrupt and if you wish to accomplish something which involves a politician you must pay the piper, by trade possibly but undertable cash is much preferred.  What a perversion of the American system.  As for Daley, he wants his son to assume the mantle eventually.  I personally have dirt on that kid and will be pleased to reveal it to the media when appropriate.  0.02
