Legitimate questions have been raised re whether energies propagated during launch can be constrained so as not to adversely impact the crafts involved over time. Including by yielding detectable spikes betraying overhead. There is indication the issue has not been investigated properly. Yet we have maglevs that apparently surmount such problems, though granted the levels are substantially less-detectable - on paper. I believe an adversary could detect spikes from steam cats, but they aren't saying obviously and I don't know. Will EMALS be more liability than profit? Thoughts appreciated.
