Subject: Al Qaeda tape promises more attacks

So much that they sound like pols running for re-election. Anyhow, is anyone really impressed that "Osama Bin Laden is alive and well in Afghanistan, and martyrdom operations will continue... blah blah blah?" I know these are serious threats, and I do take them seriously, but wouldn't Al Qaeda seem more menacing if their PR department wasn't managed by masked flunkies making oblique threats and claiming credit for attacks either well after the fact, or in anticipation of more? They've come a long way, from denying a role in 9-11, to claiming credit for the Columbia space shuttle disaster. Sometimes I feel like we're at war with Dale Gribble.

I think these guys could've taught nastrodomos a thing or three. If you make enough oblique statements about future attacks you will score eventually... E.
