Subject: Fighting Islamic Terrorism- the Fight over Dan Pipe's Nomination to the US Istitute of Peace
swhitebull    7/22/2003 7:09:22 PM
As most of the readers hear know, Daniel Pipes has been one of the foremost proponents of the concept of IslamicNazism, and was one of the first scholars to warn well before 9-11 of the coming Islamic reign of terror. That the Council of American-Islamic Relations is so vigorously fighting Pipe's nomination by George W to this board is a testimony to how much stock the Bush administration has placed in Pipe's viewpoints. The following are several articles that address the upcoming nomination: http://www.nationalreview.com/kurtz/kurtz072203.asp http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=9025 (this is an EXCELLENT source for a newconservative perspective on the owrld, with timely interviews over the web. swhitebull- mroe to come- if you support Pipes, please email your Senators and Representatives.

apparently, according to the Jerusalem Post, his nomination has been "tabled indefinitely" . This is a tragedy for the war against terrorism, as Pipes has been instrumental in exposing ISlamic Terrorists and radicals, and outing professors on his Campus watch board. Looks like the bush administration caved in to Arab and Islamic pressure groups, and the Senate has to. A black day for the clash of cultures. http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/A/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1059111795638 swhitebull

Not sure about the tragedy for the war against terrorism. 1st The demands of the nomination could force him to write less articles educating the public and offering a counterview to the leftists. This may be better for the battle for public opinion. (OK Selfish reasons I admit because I like to read his articles and I want him to write a lot) 2nd Pipes may continue to have contact with the Bush administration and advising them in an unofficial manner. He could have more influence this way. 3 This leaves the nomination open for American Kafir ;-) It is a shame that Daniel Pipes doesn't get the nomination he is one of the few Middle East experts that make any sense. He really deserves that nomination. However these terrorists could find out that you can't keep a good man down. This behaviour exposes these terrorists even more and makes Pipes an even bigger problem for them.

>3 This leaves the nomination open for American Kafir ;-)< That would be a bait and switch. Pipes has the inexplicable view, especially in the face of those opposed to his nomination, that there exists an invisible non-militant wing of the Islamic faith. I do not hold this view.

"Don't know AK. I think he just says that there is a non-militant wing of islam to pacify those morons in our own government who believe that garbage." Perhaps, but admittedly Pipes knows more about Islam than I do, so I'm sure he must know at least one Muslim that believes "kill the infidels ["kafirs," aka non-Muslims] where you find them" is a really strange thing for the moon to tell an illiterate mass-murdering child raping desert barbarian to have someone jot down as an article of faith in a "religion of peace."

swhitebull    The BORKING of Pipes - Daniel Pipes DOES get his recess Appointment- and takes on his critics   8/27/2003 7:28:38 PM
Daniel Pipes refused to debate his critics during his nomination process. Given the hostility of most of the democrats to his nomination (they STILL dont get it- its TERRORISM, stupid, and Pipes was talking about it long before 9/11), the nomination died in committee, and President Bush made the recess appointment good til 01/2005 Here is what Pipes has to say: http://www.danielpipes.org/article/1220 swhitebull - NOW we finally have the voice we need to in place to expose the IslamoNazis right in our own country.
