Subject: Air Raid Sirens

I live in and work in the Peninsula/Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Today at about 11:30am Air Raid sirens started sounding. And I don't mean one. I mean all over the place. I didn't even realize they still had them. Did anyone else hear anything like this where you live? Or do you live in the area?

Sorry, wrong button too soon As I was saying, I live in Prince George County (right outside of FT Lee) and I heard them at noon. I just assumed they were for our volunteer fire department.

After the closest one stopped, I could hear them going miles away. It was pretty creepy, but cool.

Looks like Cape Hatteras with tracking inland over Petersburg, VA and then bouncinf along the Blue Ridge North
