Subject: Will there be a new election in Spain?
Siddar    3/16/2004 7:22:10 PM
Anyone have any info on if this is posable? Seems like it would be in best interest of spain and all of western world if there was another election in spain say in 6 weeks are a month. The socialists in my view will have no real mandate to govern of the terror influenced election of sunday they need to go back and get a non tainted mandate to lead spain. The west would benifit by burying the idea that we will let terrorists influence are elections. I dont have much info on how Spains election process works but if its posable that would be the best outcome in my view.

Not a snowball chance in hell. You see, the Sotialists are leeches. Once they get on power, they will not abandon it willingly. Even if in the end was discovered an ETA link in the bombing, the Sotialists will never dissolve the parliament and ahve new elections. Neither there will be a deadlock in parliament that forces a new election, the Sotialists are more willing to prostitute Spain to gain support to pass legislation or the budget. A no confidence vote will not work because the separatists parties want a weak government and will suck them dry but without making them fall before 4 years. We will have to suffer during the next four years.
