Subject: A hero is violated
TriggaFingaz    4/21/2004 2:29:16 PM
Two days ago, read in the Daily Telegraph and The Times that the grave of Francis Javier Taranterro, the GEO officer who was KIA in the last moments of the Madrid conspirators, has been desecrated. The body was dragged 600 yards from its breached tomb, where it was vandalised by pickaxes and shovels which were left embedded in the chest and head. Caretakers found the burning remains the next morning, no suspects caught. So just how far down the latrine are our jihadi adversaries willing to sink? I suspect them becoz I doubt that other enemies he may have had, personal or occupation related (busted drug gangs, ETA or neighbours quarrelling over the height of the hedge?) would go that far to express their contempt. You know the mentality of the Islamo-fascist: “How DARE you Unbelievers act against the WILL OF GOD and his holy army!! We WILL PUNISH YOU, even after death!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!”

From Jay Nordlinger, National Review: File this under the heading JUST IN CASE YOU FORGET WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE WE'RE DEALING WITH. The Daily Telegraph tells us that "the body of a police special-forces officer who died when Islamic terrorists blew themselves up in Madrid was taken from its grave, mutilated, and burned yesterday. "The coffin and body of special agent Francisco Javier Torronteras were pulled from the tomb in Madrid Sur cemetery in Carabanchel and pushed 1,000 yards in a wheelbarrow before being doused with petrol and set alight. "The body was found with a pick driven into its head and a spade dug into its chest. "Although no motive was immediately apparent, police speculated that it could be the work of sympathizers of the Moroccan terrorist group that carried out the train bomb attacks in the Spanish capital on March 11, killing 192 people and injuring 1,900. "The interior ministry said the act of desecration could have been part of 'an Islamic rite of revenge.'" Again: just in case you forget. swhitebull - time to get out the pig-skins for reciprocal burials.

ISRAELIS CONSIDER FIGHTING PLO TERRORIST WITH PIG FAT Israeli police are considering putting bags of pig fat on buses and in shopping centers to try to deter Muslim suicide bombers. The idea is based on the fact that strict Muslim tradition says any Muslim who comes in contact with a pig before dying will be denied access to paradise, and of course, all the virgins Allah has promised to his faithful martyrs. Israeli police have considered using pigs, or pig products to ward off terrorism in the past, but needed a rabbinical permit to carry it out. Judaism, like Islam, regards the pig as an unclean animal. The idea has been given the approval of Jerusalem's Rabbinical Court. Rabbi Eliezer Moshe Fisher, of the Jerusalem Rabbinical Court, said: “There is no ban on using bags of lard when saving lives is concerned. They may be used in any place that might be a target for suicide bombings, such as schools, shopping malls and railway stations.” The rabbi also indicated that if pig fat isn't used on buses, tens of thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews will arm themselves with toy water pistols filled with liquid lard to be used against terrorists. Previously, Israel's Minister without portfolio Gideon Ezra and others suggested burying the corpses of suicide bombers wrapped in pigskin as a deterrent. However, the proposal never got serious consideration in Israel, with opponents saying it would only serve to encourage suicide bombers, egged on by clerics claiming Jews were defiling Islamic burial rites. Russian security forces reportedly buried Chechen terrorists in pigskin last year in attempts to end their suicide bombing attacks. [Chechen Terrorists to be Buried in Pigskin 08:07 Oct. 31, '02 / 25 Cheshvan 5763 According to the Moskovski Komsomol newspaper, Russian security forces have decided to bury the terrorists from last's week's hostage siege wrapped in pig's skin. The aim is to deter potential Islamic terrorists from future attacks. Shahidi (Jihad martyrs) believe by their nefarious acts that they ascend immediately to heaven. Using their beliefs against them, wrapping their corpses in 'unclean' pigskin prevents them from entering heaven for eternity ] The use of pig fat and pigskin shrouds is not so novel an idea. In 1909, General John J. “Black Jack” Pershing was made Military Governor of Moro Province in the Philippines. During his tenure as governor, there were a series of attacks on the American forces in the province by Muslim extremists. Eventually the American forces captured 50 of the extremists. Pershing had the 50 terrorist tied to posts for execution. He then had two pigs slaughtered in front of the condemned men and had the bullets soaked in the pigs’ blood. Pershing then had 49 men shot, buried them in a mass grave with the blood, guts, and other parts of the pigs. He then allowed the 50th man to go back and report what he had seen. The extremist attacks against US servicemen stopped in Moro Province. “Black Jack” Pershing in better known in history for his exploits against the Mexican bandito, Pancho Villa, in 1916, his work with the Army’s African American forces, and as commander of the American Expeditionary Force in Europe during World War I. However, the Clarion Issue has to admit that he knew how to deal with Islamic terrorist. swhitebull

Thanks, swhitebull. I've heard of the pigskin burial idea before and had been wondering if it was just an urban myth. The idea of anyone arming themselves with water pistols filled with lard would normally be amusing - if the context wasn't so serious..

On Watch    circa 1911 Pigskin Burials   4/27/2004 11:43:49 PM
"The word juramentado, meaning oath, was first used during the final occupation of the Moro capital of Jolo by the forces of General Malcampo in the year 1876. It designated a rabid, wild-running individual who unsheathed barong or kris and waged a personal Holy War." "In 1911, as attempts were made to disarm the Mohammedans, cotta warfare began to flame anew and the juramentados redoubled their efforts to get to close grips with the American soldiers. Jolo, the Moro capital, in American hands, was almost under a state of siege. It was under constant attack on the part of individual fanatics. One Moro penetrated the city walls through a drain and killed seven soldiers in the streets of Jolo before he was dropped by volley fire of the troops. For trading purposes, 100 Moros were allowed within the city wall at one time. They were disarmed and searched at the gates by squads of soldiers, and all guard posts mounted four sentries. With all of these precautions, juramentados succeeded in running their crazed course at dreadful, frequent intervals. It was Colonel Alexander Rodgers of the 6th Cavalry who accomplished by taking advantage of religious prejudice what the bayonets and Krags had been unable to accomplish. Rodgers inaugurated a system of burying all dead juramentados in a common grave with the carcasses of slaughtered pigs. The Mohammedan religion forbids contact with pork; and this relatively simple device resulted in the withdrawal of juramentados to sections not containing a Rodgers. Other officers took up the principle, adding new refinements to make it additionally unattractive to the Moros. In some sections the Moro juramentado was beheaded after death and the head sewn inside the carcass of a pig. And so the rite of running juramentado, at least semi-religious in character, ceased to be in Sulu. The last cases of this religious mania occurred in the early decades of the century." jkolak    Pershing Update   4/15/2011 4:11:23 PM
Pershing (Great Generals) by Jim Lacey, p 66:

One tactic which did prove somewhat effective has become a hot topic of
internet rumor and debate since 9/11. Did Pershing advocate burying dead
juramentados in pigskins or with pigs? Until now the historical verdict
was that this is a vicious rumor, and while it may have happened on
occasion, Pershing neither knew about it nor, given his humane outlook,
would he have condoned such action. That verdict is wrong, as Pershing's
own unpublished autobiography states:

"These juramentado attacks were materially reduced in number by a practice
the army had already adopted, one that the Mohammedans held in abhorrence.
The bodies were publicly buried in the same grave with a dead pig. It was
not pleasant to have to take such measures but the prospect of going to
hell instead of heaven sometimes deterred the would-be assassins."
