The Irony

2 Weeks ago Saddam suggested that the CIA and MI6 send agents to accompany the inspectors, as a way of "proving" that Iraq had no chemical weapons. So... it appears that Saddam is OK with US and UK spies, but not UN spies?

I had forgotten about that; that does seem rather out-of-character. Wasn't his whole reason for expelling the inspectors in 1998 US/UK spies? For that matter, assuming the allegations are true (which I actually believe, but so what) what the heck does he expect from the UN? They wouldn't have to spy if he wouldn't conceal his weapons. --Phoenix Rising
