The Royal Australian Air Force has placed its new C-130J-30s into service. These replace C-130Es which have already been retired and will supplement the C-130Hs that have been flying their wings off meeting mission demands. The C-130J is designed for numerous missions; Australia has not completed the certification process for many missions but plans to get the planes into operation and then steadily expand the types of missions they can fly.--Stephen V Cole
