Britain has renewed the contract with Atomic Weapons Establishment Management Ltd to manage its nuclear stockpile. AWEML is a consortium including the British division of Lockheed Martin (a major US aerospace firm), British Nuclear Fuels, and the British company Serco Limited. The new contract will be for 10 years and a cost of $3.52 billion.--Stephen V Cole
