Japan's Kansai Electric Power Company announced on 16 Dec that it had abandoned plans to use a shipment of Mixed Uranium Oxide (MOX) recently received from Britain due to concerns over its quality. Britain's own nuclear regulators had suspected the British company that made the fuel of falsifying some data.--Stephen V Cole
