:
NUCLEAR,
BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL WEAPONS
September 27, 2007: The Indian army is spending
half a billion dollars, initially, to upgrade its defenses against chemical
weapons. To that end, gas proof shelters are being built along the Pakistani
border. These 110 foot long bunkers are for headquarters and communications
troops and equipment. The troops are getting new gas masks and protective
clothing. The new gear also protects against some biological agents, as well as
radioactivity. While Pakistan has some chemical weapons, and perhaps biological
ones as well, the most feared special weapons are nuclear bombs.
