The Air Forces secret 55th Wing is responsible for flying electronic and signals intelligence aircraft. It includes two RC-135S Cobra Ball missile surveillance aircraft, two RC-135 Combat Sent electronic eavesdropping aircraft, and fourteen RC-135V/W Rivet Joint electronic reconnaissance aircraft. Another RC-135S and another RC-135W are now being completed, providing some relief for the vastly overworked squadron, which often has half of its aircraft deployed to trouble spots around the world.--Stephen V Cole
