The US military wants a new air-launched decoy to distract enemy defenses. The Air Force has picked the Northrop Grumman Miniature Air Launched Decoy (MALD) and wants the Navy to buy into that program. The Navy, however, has been using the Israeli Tactical Air Launched Decoy (TALD) and an improved version of it, which it got free as part of a Congressional deal for US
