: Australia has announced that it will support the US missile defense effort and will allow tracking stations in Australia to be used to support the system. Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer said: "A missile defense system is not going to kill anyone, but missiles will." Australia rejected pressure from India and China to block the US from using its facilities.--Stephen V Cole
