After the completion of current cuts and retirements (about 2012), the US nuclear weapons arsenal will consist of:

@ 14 Trident D5 missile submarines, each with 24 missiles. Two of these submarines will be out of service for overhauls at any given time.

@ 500 Minuteman-III intercontinental ballistic missiles. 

@ 76 old B-52H and 21 new B-2 bombers.--Stephen V Cole
