The German military and intelligence agencies have decided to stop using US-designed computer software, expressing concern that the US National Security Agency has hidden "back doors" in the software allowing them to access the secrets of foreign governments. Siemens will reportedly design an all-German software system for use by sensitive government agencies.--Stephen V Cole
