One of the truly elite forces America has at it's disposal are its 2,200 rangers. The ranger officers are considered the top two percent of what the army has. Training is intense, but it is no longer confined just to combat. Over the last few years, more and more exercises include simulated members of the media, and the problems they can cause on the battlefield. The rangers learn how to deal with journalists who show up in the middle of a battle, or are already there when the rangers get there. The younger ranger officers aren't crazy about this, but they all realize that the modern battlefield is thick with media people and has to be dealt with.
