Department of Defense cyberwarriors aren't talking, but it appears that Chinese hackers tried to get a monitoring program into networks aboard U.S. warships. The web site (since taken down) contained a program featuring the Marine Corps hymn. But along came sundry worms and viruses that were apparently meant to attempt analyzing shipboard networks and then sending the data back to whoever set up the scam. The scam didn't work, but military systems administrators are being warned to be on the look out for this sort of thing.
