Norway has delayed an expected decision on buying $1.3 billion in new jet fighters for at least six months, into the middle of 2000. The F-16C60 and Eurofighter Typhoon are the final competitors for the contract, which will cover 20 aircraft with options for 10 more. --Stephen V Cole
