Turkey is in the market for sixty new turboprop trainer aircraft to provide pilots for its F-16 force. It expects to spend $1 billion on the planes, which will replace the current T38, T37, and SF260s. Brazil and Italy are pitching their jet-powered AMX, saying it is cost competitive and would have value as a light attack aircraft. --Stephen V Cole
