Britain has refused to allow a photographic spy satellite to be exported to China. The Chinese are putting heavy pressure on France to reverse a French agreement to sell a similar satellite to Taiwan. European space industry officials are demanding that all of Europe "harmonize" its rules on the export of high technology military and dual-use items.--Stephen V Cole
