DDG-79 USS Oscar Austin, the 29th of the 58 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers ordered by Congress, was commissioned on 19 August. This is the first ship of what is known as Flight IIA, which have dual helicopter hangars and a new aircraft handling system.--Stephen V Cole
