ARABIAN SEA (Sept. 17, 2011) F/A-18A+ Hornets assigned to the Golden Warriors of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 87 release flares during an aerial change of command ceremony. Cmdr. Christopher T. Petrock, piloting the top aircraft, was relieved by Cmdr. Scott S. Troyer as commanding officer. George H.W. Bush is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility on its first operational deployment conducting maritime security operations and support missions as part of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn.
