A coalition special operations forces service member adjusts the fuse of a 60mm mortar during a fire fight in Kunar province, Afghanistan, March 7. A force of more than 100 Afghan National Army commandos and coalition special operations forces searched an Afghan village for weapons caches and known anti-Afghanistan forces. Commando-led missions provide national security by encouraging local villagers to look to government forces for support rather than insurgents.
