 A US soldier was wounded while on patrol in eastern Afghanistan.

Outside Kabul, over a dozen foreigners (they didn't speak much, of any, Afghan languages) got into a fight with some policemen. After some initial gunfire The Afghan police, and their foreign advisors, went after the attackers. When the fighting was over, two policemen and ten of the attackers were dead. Several of the attackers were captured, and they appeared to be Arabs.

In eastern Afghanistan, a groups of Afghans in a passing car fired on US troops. The Americans returned fire, killing four of the Afghans and wounding a fifth. Inside the car was found a satellite phone and a large quantity of cash.
