Rockets and mortar shells continue to land near American troops, although in many cases this is different Afghan groups shooting at each other. There are still a lot of weapons out there, and American patrols continue to find hidden weapons stockpiles (and destroys them, causing some spectacular explosions out in the middle of nowhere.)
