Anti-Taliban operations in southeast Afghanistan have led to 250 arrests. Most will eventually be released, while some will be found to be connected with known Taliban groups in the area. 

A large arms cache was found outside Kandahar. It's estimated that 80 truckloads of weapons and ammo are involved.
