 So far this month, rebel violence has left 110 dead. It is thought that the two main rebel groups have increased their attacks to take advantage of the army and police being busy dealing with the recent earthquakes (which killed 2,278 and caused enormous damage since the first one occurred May 21. There have been over 1,000 aftershocks since then.)
