In Italy, five members (an Egyptian, an Algerian, a Moroccan and two Tunisians) of the Algerian terrorist group GSPC were convicted of terrorism and sentenced to prison. While GSPC began as an Algerian organization, it's overseas branches contain members from other Arab countries and is a close ally of al Qaeda.
