The GSPC rebels continue to kill, leaving 40 people dead so far this month. In the past few days, two policemen were killed in the northeast. The Islamic rebels are no longer a major threat, most of the hard core members having fled to other Arab countries, or Europe. There, the Islamic radicals are still under police pressure. In France, Spain and Germany, the police are constantly on the lookout for Algerian Islamic radicals.
