After a controversy-plagued election, Boris Trajkovski was sworn in as Macedonia's new president. His political coalition, however, remains weak. Indications are that his party, the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization-Democratic Party for Macedonian Unity (VMRO-DPME) is at odds with its partners, the Democratic Party for Albanians (DPA) and the Democratic Alternative (DA).
