According to the Turkish press, US-Turkish diplomatic relations are once again secure. The US House of Representatives has withdrawn the "Armenian genocide resolution" which accrued the Ottoman Empire of conducting a campaign of genocide against Armenians during and immediately after World War I. As StrategyPage has previously noted, the Turkish government was on the verge of suspending cooperation with the US on several diplomatic and military issues, including denying US forces access to the big Turk airbase at Incirlik. The resolution accused Ottoman Turkey of killing 1.5 million Armenians between 1915 and 1923.
