Put this Bosnia insight in the the more things change the more they remain the same category. A US spokesman said that political violence has increased in Bosnia and it is linked to the ultra-nationalist resurgence which brought Bosniak Muslim, Serb, and Croat nationalist parties to power in last Octobers elections. The US statement specifically referred to violence against returning refugees (usually Muslims trying to move into Serb areas, but also some Serbs and Croats moving into Muslim areas). Several observers have expressed the fear that Bosnia is returning to a situation it faced in the early 1990s. That isnt quite the case, since there was a war going on there from 1992-1995. It is an indication why NATOs occupation duty wont be over soon.
