Romanian and US sources say the US troop contingent based at Romanias Mihail Kogalniceanu airbase (Constanta) are pulling out and heading home. The US deployed between 1000 and 1500 personnel to the air base to help support Operation Iraqi Freedom. Romania said the US had made improvements to the base (the improvements werent specified, but were to basic airbase infrastructure).
