Russia and China are jointly developing a new air-to-air missile that is fast enough to run down any jet fighter in service or on the drawing boards. Based on the AA-12 Adder, the new missile is ramjet-powered and has fuel for 60 seconds of powered flight, ten times the thrust time of similar missiles in service.--Stephen V Cole
