Sharing Instead of Fighting Over Oil Islands

Responding to much international media attention paid to China's growing armed forces, the Chinese government replied by pointing out the many deficiencies the Chinese military still has. China did not deny the large increases in its military spending, or its efforts to modernize its forces.
