In the last several days a member of congress was kidnapped, ten FARC rebels were killed in one clash and four were captured in another (in which five soldiers were wounded.) On the border with Ecuador, FARC attacked an army base, wounding two soldiers and destroying dozens of nearby civilian structures. In the same region, a police station was attacked, leaving ten civilians wounded in the crossfire. Meanwhile, FARC and government negotiators continue to meet in Sweden to work out a peace agreement.
