The US placed sanctions on the AUC (anti-leftist militias) by declaring them a "foreign terrorist organization. As far as anyone knows, the AUC has no fund raising or other activities in the United States that would be affected by these sanctions. But any AUC assets in American can be frozen and anyone clearly associated with the AUC arrested if found in the United States. The AUC has some 8,000 armed men in Colombia.
