India has halted all military operations in Kashmir and asked rebel organizations to do the same in order to get some peace talks going. Aside from the one sided ceasefire, this call for talks is also missing the usual demand that Kashmiri cannot even be discussed. Meanwhile, Pakistani troops crossed the Line of Control in Kashmir and attacked a group of porters and soldiers. One porter was killed and the other six people, including two soldiers, were taken back into Pakistani Kashmir. The two soldiers and three porters managed to escape later.
