Indian troops had attacked Pakistani positions on the Kashmiri line of control. Three bunkers were destroyed and at least six Pakistani troops killed. The Indians said the Pakistani troops were making threatening moves. Pakistani based Kashmiri independence groups threatened to launch terrorist attacks in India if India did not cease it's military operations in Kashmir.
