A bomb went off in the Karachi, Pakistan, killing three and wounding five. It was apparently a suicide, or very sloppy, bombing as the woman carrying the bomb was killed as well. Some 75 people have died in bombings in Pakistan so far this year. Indian agents are usually blamed, but there are plenty of lethal feuds going on in the country. In Bangladesh, left wing rebels killed a village chief and in a subsequent shoot out with police, four rebels were killed. Several small left wing rebel groups continue to operate.
