The Kashmiri rebellion and continued border skirmishes between India and Pakistan has spilled over into the Internet. While neither nation has the kind of commercial and military networks found in the West, the two nations do have internet access and many local web sites and skilled users. This has led to a cyberwar as hackers on both sides attack web sites. Some of the attacks have been directed at pro-India and pro-Pakistan sites outside of South Asia. So far, the damage has been pretty low level, with defacing of opponent's web sites being most common.
